Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay in the medieval town of Chiusa, known as 'Dürer's town', I found a unique blend of traditional charm and modern amenities. The centrally located accommodation provided a convenient base for exploring Valle Isarco and the surrounding hiking trails. Upon arrival, I encountered a small room, which, despite being slightly noisy due to the busy road below, was resolved swiftly by staff who kindly transferred us to a spacious, newly renovated room equipped with AC and soundproof windows. The breakfast offered a commendable variety, from fresh bread and cold meats to warm dishes, catering effectively to diverse tastes. This hearty meal set us up well for daily excursions to Ortizei for skiing, which was easily accessible by car. I particularly appreciated the clean facilities, well-presented dining options, and the usability of the roof terrace, which featured whirlpools and sun chairs. The sauna was a wonderful way to unwind each evening, adding a touch of relaxation to a busy day of exploration. The experience successfully combined elements of comfort and practicality for any traveler seeking cultural immersion in this picturesque region.
